KT Gogo Mobile announced on the 19th that it has launched the 'Safe iPhone' that allows parents to safely manage their children's smartphone usage.
Unlike the existing kids' phones, the Safe iPhone sends real-time notifications to parents when children access harmful content, allowing for easy and quick remote blocking from the parent's device. Access and usage control are possible on a per-application basis.
The company noted that parents can also limit their children's data usage remotely, preventing indiscriminate data use. Real-time location tracking for children is also supported.
The Safe iPhone will be launched with the app pre-installed on Samsung phones through an official partnership contract with Samsung Electronics. The devices can be purchased from affiliated telecommunications companies, and it is also possible to buy only the app separately without purchasing the device. It has been made possible to control remotely even if the parent's device is an iPhone.
