On the 19th, the cybersecurity corporation Genians announced the launch of its integrated endpoint security platform 'Genians Insights E 3.0'.
'Genians Insights E 3.0' is an all-in-one endpoint security platform that integrates next-generation antivirus, anti-ransomware, and media control functions based on Genians' core solution, Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR).
The company noted that it differentiates from previous solutions by incorporating antivirus capabilities. Genians' antivirus is designed to organically interlink with the monitoring and analysis features of EDR, going beyond simple detection. This establishes a multifaceted security system that rapidly blocks malware while EDR detects, analyzes, and responds to unknown sophisticated threats. The antivirus is responsible for pre-detection, while EDR takes charge of post-response.
Genians explained that the launch of this platform is part of a strategy to respond to the trend of consolidation in the global security market. Until now, the domestic market has operated antivirus and EDR separately, but the global trend is shifting to a single platform that integrates them. In fact, corporate security environments are increasingly complex due to the overlapping application of various security solutions, and accordingly, customers are demanding more integrated security solutions.
With the addition of the antivirus function, Genians intends to accelerate its expansion into the server security market. A corporate official stated, "As recent large-scale security incidents have increased the demand for integrated security for endpoints and servers, Genians plans to offer the antivirus function as a separate option and to expand its market presence with a reasonable pricing policy."
