SK hynix unveiled its self-developed generative artificial intelligence (AI) platform 'GaiA', specialized in semiconductor operations.
On the 14th, SK hynix said through its newsroom, "We are accelerating AI transformation (AIX) centered on digital transformation," adding that it has developed three types of AI platforms and generative AI services for business innovation.
The generative AI platform 'GaiA', unveiled this time, is characterized by its specialization in semiconductor operations. By utilizing GaiA, customized AI agents can be developed according to business needs, and employees can use generative AI within the company's secure network. The GaiA platform consists of three generative AI services: Biz specialization, LLMChat (large language model chat), and adot Biz (A.Biz).
The Biz specialized service, which opened in beta in July, can be used in semiconductor production and manufacturing for equipment maintenance agents, global policy and technology analysis agents, HR system agents, meeting agents, and more.
This month, a beta version of the 'LLMChat' service dedicated to SK hynix has opened. It can be accessed via the company's secure network and serves as a question-and-answer service based on internal data and knowledge, helping to enhance employees' work efficiency.
adot Biz (A.Biz), which will be officially unveiled in November, is an AI assistant service that supports both general and specialized tasks. It can handle general office tasks such as meeting notes and report writing, as well as specialized tasks like purchasing, recruitment, taxation, legal affairs, and public relations. It is being developed in collaboration with SK Telecom, aiming for integration with GaiA.
These three AI services were completed in line with SK hynix's 'generative AI roadmap.' Since 2023, SK hynix has been developing AI services in the order of Native RAG* + LLM (2023), agents and task tools (2024), agentic AI (2025), and agent orchestration (2025).
