WEBTOON Entertainment, the U.S. headquarters of Naver Webtoon, announced on the 13th that it has established a global content partnership with The Walt Disney Company (Disney).
Through this collaboration, representative works of Disney, Marvel, Star Wars, and 20th Century Studios will be reborn as vertical scroll webtoons. About 100 series will be gradually released through the newly created Disney-exclusive section in the English app of the global platform 'WEBTOON.'
In addition to existing works restructured in webtoon format, new original webtoon series from Disney, Marvel, Star Wars, and 20th Century Studios are also in preparation. The new original series will encompass various genres, from superhero adventures to tales set against expansive universes, allowing fans to enjoy fresh stories with familiar characters.
The first works to be unveiled in the Disney-exclusive section are ▲The Amazing Spider-Man (2022–present) ▲The Avengers (2012) ▲Star Wars (2015) ▲Alien (2021) ▲A Very Old Story, among five titles.
