Samsung Electronics announced on the 13th that it will launch the 'Bespoke AI Kimchi Plus Kitchen Fit Max' kimchi refrigerator, featuring the Kitchen Fit Max design and enhanced kimchi aging and storage capabilities.
The new product applies the Kitchen Fit Max design, allowing for installation that fits perfectly between the refrigerator and cabinet as long as there is a 4 mm gap on both sides, resembling built-in appliances. The refrigerator door does not touch the cabinet even when opened up to 108 degrees.
It has a large capacity of approximately 1000L for storing ingredients.
A new 'lactic acid bacterium crisp aging' feature has also been applied to achieve optimal kimchi flavor.
This feature quickly reaches the optimal temperature for the growth of the lactic acid bacterium Leuconostoc, which produces a refreshing and crisp taste of kimchi, and maintains that optimal temperature, Samsung Electronics explained.
Moreover, it generates up to 118 times more Leuconostoc lactic acid bacteria compared to the standard kimchi storage mode, maximizing the fresh and sweet taste and carbonation of the kimchi while making it 5.7 times crisper.
Convenience features have also been upgraded. The 'Auto Open Door' feature and Bixby voice recognition make it easy to open the door.
It also includes features such as a customized aging compartment, odor care kimchi containers, artificial intelligence (AI) temperature control mode, and metal cooling.
The new product will be available in a total of seven colors, including Clean White, Essential Beige, and Essential White, and a freestanding type (487∼586L) of kimchi refrigerator is also scheduled to be released sequentially in August.
