On the 12th, NEXON GAMES announced the release of a teaser video for its upcoming AAA title, "Woochi the Wayfarer."
"Woochi the Wayfarer" is a single-player action-adventure game set in a fictional Joseon Dynasty, depicting the adventures of the sorcerer Jeon Woochi. It is the first single-player title introduced by NEXON GAMES, aiming for a global release on PC and console platforms.
Based on a story inspired by the Joseon fantasy world created with Unreal Engine 5, the game features action gameplay utilizing traditional monsters and sorcery.
The newly released teaser video, which lasts about 2 minutes and 20 seconds, features the shaman "Myoan" and "Woochi" appearing in a forest, with a battle scene between the two characters included in the latter part of the video. The music for the video was composed by Jeong Jae-il.
LoreVault Studio is collaborating with experts from various fields to reflect Korea's unique history and culture in the game, and has visited cultural heritage sites across the country to realize the background of the Joseon Dynasty.
Park Yong-hyun, CEO of NEXON GAMES, said, "Woochi the Wayfarer is based on traditional themes unique to Korea" and added, "It will provide a fresh and unique gameplay experience with emotional universality that anyone in the world can relate to."
