KT introduces a 5G data plan for fans of popular idols and actors like BTS, BLACKPINK, and Byeon Wooseok.
KT announced on the 10th that it will launch a new plan—'5G Weverse Choice'—in partnership with the fandom platform 'Weverse' on the 11th. It features a fully unlimited 5G data plan for users who enjoy fandom activities, providing up to 40 'Weverse Jelly' items (worth approximately 12,000 won) per month for purchasing digital products on Weverse.
Weverse is a platform hosting official communities for over 170 domestic and international popular artists, including BTS, BLACKPINK, and Byeon Wooseok. Users can communicate one-on-one with artists through 'Weverse DM' or purchase items like 'digital memberships' to enjoy exclusive fan content.
The plans launched by KT include ▲Choice Premium (130,000 won/month) ▲Choice Special (110,000 won/month) ▲Choice Basic (90,000 won/month), a total of three options. With a selected contract discount (25%) and a premium family bundle discount (25%), the 'Choice Special' can be accessed for around 50,000 won per month.
All plans include the benefit of fully unlimited data, along with various additional perks such as ▲KT Membership VVIP status ▲one free line for smart devices ▲one free line for data sharing ▲discounts on device insurance.
Kwon Hee-keun, head of KT's Marketing Innovation Division, noted, 'Weverse Choice is the first plan tailored for fandom customers by a domestic telecom company,' and added, 'We will continue to expand differentiated products that reflect our customers' diverse lifestyles and content consumption trends.'
