Samsung Electronics announced on the 10th that its 'The Galaxy Unfolds' experience zone, operating at COEX in Gangnam, Seoul, since the 25th of last month, has surpassed 100,000 cumulative visitors in just 15 days.
As of the 8th, the number of visitors recorded is approximately 103,000, averaging about 7,000 visitors per day who experienced the 'Galaxy Z Fold 7' and 'Z Flip 7'.
This experience zone had over 75% of its visitors in their 10s to 30s. Among them, those in their 20s accounted for over 30%, and women made up 53%, slightly more than men.
The experience zone was planned through collaboration with artist Jean Jullien, focusing on the thin, light, and foldable characteristics of 'paper'. It features a program where visitors can experience the main features of new products along with characters developed by Jullien himself.
In particular, the 'New Face Selfie' program, aimed at the younger generation accustomed to cameras, gained popularity. It involves projecting Jean Jullien's character onto the enlarged cover display of the 'Galaxy Z Flip 7' to create the illusion of it being one's own face in the pictures. Approximately 4,000 related posts were made on major social media platforms over two weeks.
Additionally, there was a strong response to the experience of creating one's own character using the Galaxy artificial intelligence (AI) feature 'Generative Editing' with the 'Galaxy Z Fold 7' and projecting it onto a large media wall.
The experience zone will be in operation at COEX in Seoul until the 17th of this month.
Song So-yeon, vice president of Samsung Electronics Korea, said, 'I hope you enjoy the innovative foldable form factor and the various charms of Galaxy AI with Jean Jullien's characters in the remaining week.'
