LG Uplus announced on the 8th that it plans to launch a multi-engine-based Artificial Intelligence Communication Center (AICC), combining the LG AI Research Institute's ExaOne and OpenAI's API in the second half of the year.
During a conference call for the second-quarter earnings announcement held that day, LG Uplus noted, "We have established a strategic partnership with OpenAI to develop AI solutions in the AICC business."
It continued, "Through this, we will secure technological competitiveness in this field and build a foundation for expanding the business-to-business (B2B) AI sector."
LG Uplus reported that its second-quarter revenue reached 3.4964 trillion won, marking an 8.3% increase compared to the same period last year. The operating profit for the second quarter was 310.7 billion won, an increase of 23.1% year-on-year.
