NEOWIZ announced on the 8th that its sales in the second quarter hit 110 billion won, with an operating profit of 18.6 billion won. This represents a year-on-year increase of 26% and 292%, respectively.
By institutional sector, sales in the PC and console gaming sector reached 57.5 billion won, a 54% increase from the same period last year. The continuous success of the main game "Lie of P" and its downloadable content (DLC) "Lie of P: Prelude" drove this growth. As of June, the combined sales of the main game and the DLC surpassed 3 million units, with sales increasing by about three times compared to the previous quarter. Additionally, "DJMAX Respect V" has also seen good responses with its "Blue Archive Collaboration DLC" and new DLC "V Liberty 3," supporting performance.
Sales in the mobile gaming sector reached 44 billion won, a 9% increase compared to the same period last year. The second anniversary of "Brown Dust 2" propelled the revenue increase. The daily active users (DAU) reached approximately 280,000, setting a record high, and revenue also exceeded the previous peak, marking a successful turnaround. Success in the Greater China market was aided by achieving the top sales position in major app markets in Taiwan and Hong Kong.
Other sales amounted to 8.5 billion won, a 10% decrease compared to the same period last year, due to a drop in the advertising business sector's revenue.
NEOWIZ stated that it will enhance the value of its key intellectual property (IP) in the second half of the year and diversify its touchpoints with users. "Lie of P" will be included in the August "PlayStation Plus" free games, allowing it to reach more fans. The company will also accelerate the development of new PC and console titles centered around its Round8 Studio. "DJMAX Respect V" is set to host an offline concert for "DJMAX Miracle 2025" in August, expanding its musical outreach and focusing on strengthening its IP.
Building on its publishing capabilities, the company will also target the global market with its leading indie games. Three titles, "Shape of Dreams," "Hello Seoul: Itaewon Edition," and "Kill the Shadow," are set to be released in the second half of this year and will participate in Japan's "BitSummit" as well as China's "G Fusion Game Fest 2025" and "Core Blazer Game Fest 2025." The plan is to establish a global presence through participation in "Gamescom," which will be held in Germany in August.
