Devsisters reported on the 7th that its revenue for the second quarter of 2025 was 92 billion won and its operating profit reached 10.1 billion won. This represents increases of 69% and 104%, respectively, compared to the same period last year. Notably, overseas game sales grew by 177% compared to the same period last year and by 15% compared to the previous quarter, with the proportion of overseas sales rising to 77%, reflecting expanded global performance.
Devsisters stated that the growth of "Cookie Run: Kingdom" has driven its performance growth. In May, a new beast, "Eternal Sugar Cookie," was highlighted in an update that propelled its ranking to 1st in Korea and 6th in the U.S. on the Apple App Store game sales chart.
In terms of regions, the expansion of influence in the United States stood out the most. This year, key indicators such as revenue and active user count in the U.S. have risen. For the second quarter, the U.S. accounted for about 50% of the total revenue from "Cookie Run: Kingdom." "Cookie Run: OvenBreak" also contributed to performance growth through attracting users and expanding sales with a Season 10 update centered around the dragon race narrative of its original universe.
Devsisters noted that it will focus on strategic business expansion and investment in the second half of the year, diversifying its intellectual property (IP) competitiveness. The trading card game (TCG) "Cookie Run: Brave's Card," launched in North America last July, received a positive response locally, entering around 500 card shops within a month and selling out its initial stock within three weeks. The distribution quantity has now expanded to over 10 million copies.
The company will also strengthen live services for existing games. "Cookie Run: Kingdom" is enhancing user immersion with new content updates and the introduction of beast cookies, while "Cookie Run: OvenBreak" is preparing for global e-sports with the start of the online qualifiers for the "World Championship 2025" in September, alongside expanding its universe.
The new title for the second half of the year, "Cookie Run: Oven Smash," is also set to launch. Having completed a CBT of about 100,000 participants in the second quarter, the game is aiming for a release in the fourth quarter after content expansion and system stabilization work. Online and offline integrated marketing efforts are also in preparation.
