Kakao announced on the 5th that it will hold a user participation donation campaign called "Taegeukgi Challenge in Talk" until the 17th of this month.
This campaign is designed to reflect on the meaning of Independence Day in daily life by organizing various activities within Kakao services into challenges, encouraging user participation leading to donations.
The challenge consists of a total of four action missions. For each mission a user participates in through "Kakao Together", Kakao will donate 815 won per action. The total donation will be used to improve the living conditions of descendants of independence activists through Habitat for Humanity Korea.
The action missions are ▲ solving the puzzle of Chun-sik's Independence Day cake and conducting a patriotism test called "Puzzle Solving" ▲ adding a Taegeukgi sticker of Chun-sik to KakaoTalk profiles as "Talk Profile Sticker" ▲ posting a photo of either attaching a Taegeukgi sticker to their KakaoTalk profile or raising a Taegeukgi in front of their house through the "Taegeukgi Certification" mission ▲ and locating 28 places marked with Taegeukgi markers on KakaoMap in the "Finding Taegeukgi" mission.
Direct contributions can also be made through the Kakao Together fundraising box. It will be operated in partnership with Habitat for Humanity Korea until the 17th. Kakao Makers will sell four types of goods to commemorate Independence Day, including Chun-sik donation badges, phone cases, T-shirts, and hibiscus soaps, and all proceeds will be donated.
