Kakao Mobility announced on the 5th that it successfully wrapped up 'Give Shuttle 2025,' which was held twice this year with a focus on the environment. In the second half, it will expand its volunteering program not only for Kakao T users but also for employees.
'Give Shuttle' is a program that combines volunteer work and travel, initiated by Kakao Mobility as part of the social impact campaign 'Project 201,' which started in 2024. Anyone can apply through the Kakao T app, and free transportation is provided via Kakao T shuttle, lowering the barriers to participating in volunteer work, making it easy for anyone to get involved. Additionally, expert-led 'Deep Dive Talks' will provide background knowledge on the themes of each volunteer project, along with souvenirs featuring the campaign logo.
This year's Give Shuttle 2025 was themed around 'practicing environmental protection.' In the first half, Give Shuttle programs on tree planting (May) and upcycling (July) were operated, with over 100 volunteers participating and achieving an impressive average satisfaction score of 4.83 out of 5. Among all participants, about 19% re-participated in Give Shuttle more than twice, and approximately 74% of these individuals voluntarily engaged in other volunteer activities after joining Give Shuttle.
Ryu Geung-seon, CEO of Kakao Mobility, noted, 'Give Shuttle is a program initiated to lower the barriers to volunteering, allowing everyone to easily join in making a positive impact, based on Kakao Mobility's corporate philosophy.' He added, 'In the future, we will continue to expand our consolidation with the community, leveraging the characteristics of the mobility platform and sustaining our social contribution activities.'
