Garmin announced on the 1st that it has launched the smart sleep band 'Index Sleep Monitor' which precisely tracks everything from sleep stages to recovery status to help promote healthy sleep.
The Index Sleep Monitor is equipped with a fifth-generation heart rate sensor that measures various bodily data, including the user's heart rate, skin temperature, blood oxygen saturation, and heart rate variability (HRV), and it also tracks the frequency of breathing interruptions by sleep stage and time. This helps improve sleep quality and overall health.
The measured data is automatically stored in the Garmin Connect app, providing sleep scores, health insights, and body battery energy monitoring features to support systematic health management and recovery.
The Index Sleep Monitor features a smart wake alarm function that finds the optimal waking point within the time set by the user and wakes them with a gentle vibration notification. Additionally, its lightweight and slim design allows for comfortable wear during sleep, and it can be used for up to seven days on a single charge.
Suzan Lyman, vice president of global consumer product marketing at Garmin, said, "Garmin provides innovative solutions not only in running and fitness but also in the wellness sector," and added, "We hope that through the Index Sleep Monitor, users can comprehensively understand their sleep and health conditions and start their day in optimal condition."
The Index Sleep Monitor is available for purchase at the official Garmin Korea online store and Garmin brand shop, with a suggested retail price of 249,000 won.
