HANCOM announced on 4th that it is participating as a key partner in the super-large artificial intelligence (AI) model development project 'K-EXAONE', led by the LG AI Research Institute, building an independent AI foundation model.
This project, overseen by the Ministry of Science and ICT, has a budget of 213.6 billion won and aims to develop a government-led AI foundation model with world-class performance. A consortium of 10 corporations, including LG AI Research Institute, LG CNS, LG Uplus, HANCOM, Superb AI, Furiosa AI, Friendly AI, ESTsoft, ESTaid, and Wrtn, has been formed.
HANCOM participates based on technologies such as 'HANCOM Data Loader,' which extracts information like text, tables, and images from electronic documents for AI training data, and a natural language-based question and answer system 'HANCOMpedia.' It is particularly responsible for building and expanding the AI ecosystem in the B2B and B2G markets, planning to provide AI document automation solutions to public and corporate clients.
HANCOM has been strengthening its position by continuously participating in AI-based system projects for major public institutions such as the National Assembly, the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, and the Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education in the first half of this year.
