On the 4th, mobility solution company Konatus announced that it has officially begun operations of 'Turu Taxi' in Gyeonggi Province and Gangwon Province.
Turu Taxi is a brand operated by the regionally participating franchise headquarters Konatus, which has partnered with the Kakao mobility platform since April. The regionally participating franchise headquarters is a model that supports the strengthening of competitiveness in the taxi market by opening the platform to private operators and is conducted through negotiations with local taxi unions. Kakao mobility provides information technology (IT) and platform support.
Since starting its mobility business in 2018, Konatus has supplied solutions to corporations such as SK Gas, Hyundai Motor, and Kakao. It also has experience operating brands like 'Ribbon Taxi' and 'Banban Green.'
This operation was carried out based on a win-win agreement with the Gyeonggi Province Individual Taxi Transport Business Association, Gyeonggi Province Taxi Transport Business Association, and Gangwon Province Taxi Transport Business Association. The operation method was devised to reduce the inconveniences experienced by drivers on the ground.
Konatus has introduced a low management fee policy to reduce fixed costs and has provided driver-exclusive insurance as a basic benefit, aiming to reduce roaming operations through a QR-based calling solution. Administrative tasks such as settlement, tax, and document issuance are supported by dedicated managers, and a response system for inquiries or requests during operations has also been established.
Currently, Turu Taxi is pursuing the expansion of regionally participating franchise taxis.
