LG Electronics announced on the 3rd that it has been conducting 'open house' tours since June in Gimje, North Jeolla Province, where visitors can explore the modular dwelling 'LG Smart Cottage' through online reservations.
The LG Smart Cottage is a modular dwelling that integrates LG Electronics' differentiated AI appliances and HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning) technology. It uses all energy within the dwelling solely from electricity and can generate its own necessary energy by installing a solar power generation system on the roof.
The tour conducted on the 2nd was fully booked within a week of opening reservations, with 200 spots taken, and inquiries about additional tour schedules are actively continuing. On that day, visitors responded positively to the stylish exterior of the LG Smart Cottage and the convenience of IoT devices, including a smart door lock controllable via the LG ThinQ app and powered blinds, as well as the heating pump HVAC system and high-efficiency appliances.
LG Electronics revealed that it plans to officially open the 'LG Smart Cottage' in Gimje as early as next month. Customers will be able to experience a variety of LG Electronics' space-customized premium appliances, including the Objet Collection Wash Tower Compact, dishwasher, induction stove, microwave oven, and water purifier, while staying at the smart cottage through online reservations.
