Google Cloud announced on the 1st that it will officially launch its artificial intelligence (AI) video generation models, 'Veo 3' and the fast production-optimized 'Veo 3 Fast', through its AI development platform 'Vertex AI'.
'Veo 3' generates 8-second videos at a resolution of 720p based on images. 'Veo 3 Fast' supports faster conversion from text to video, assisting in everything from narrated product demo videos to short films.
On that day, Google Cloud noted, "Since the unveiling of 'Veo 3' in May, the adoption among corporations has surged, leading to the generation of more than 70 million videos globally." In particular, after the preview version of Veo 3 was released to Vertex AI in June, the number of videos created by corporations surpassed 6 million within a month.
This month, Google Cloud plans to offer a preview version of the Image-to-Video feature in Vertex AI, allowing users to convert images into videos. A company official said, "Through this, users of Veo 3 and Veo 3 Fast will be able to bring static images and visuals to life," adding that "by simply providing a text prompt that describes the desired video along with the original image, users will easily create vivid, moving footage."
