LG Uplus announced on the 1st that it will offer the 'AI phone' service, launched last year for small business owners, as a benefit for subscribing to its 5G premium plan. Through this, LG Uplus plans to support the digital transformation of small business stores and reduce communication costs.
The 'AI phone' integrates AI features into existing internet phone systems, allowing an AI call bot to respond 24 hours a day to simple, repetitive inquiries coming into the store. The AI accurately answers key questions such as customer location, business hours, and parking availability, enabling store owners to focus on customer service.
The AI phone can handle incoming calls simultaneously, with the AI providing answers based on store information. This information can be managed through the small business-only app 'Our Store Package.' Additionally, the app includes a report feature that analyzes AI call responses, helping businesses identify frequently asked questions and utilizing them for store operations.
LG Uplus will waive the monthly usage fee of 7,700 won for the AI phone for customers selecting the 'AI phone package' while subscribing to the 5G premium plan until Jan. 31, 2026, and also provide an internet phone device for stores and 50 minutes of free calls.
