On the 29th, KRAFTON announced during an investor relations (IR) meeting that it recorded 662 billion won in consolidated revenue and 246 billion won in operating profit for the second quarter of 2025. Revenue decreased by 6.4% compared to the same period last year (707 billion won), and operating profit fell by 25.9% from 332 billion won.
In contrast, the cumulative revenue for the first half of the year reached 1.5362 trillion won, and operating profit was 703 billion won, achieving the highest performance on a half-year basis. This represents increases of 11.9% and 9.5%, respectively, compared to the same period last year.
Revenue by platform for the first half of the year was 960 billion won for mobile, 543.2 billion won for PC, and 33 billion won for consoles and others. The PC sector was influenced by content diversification such as the character upgrade system 'Contender' of 'BattleGrounds,' while the mobile sector benefited from growth-oriented skins like 'X-Suit' and the expansion of local marketing for 'BattleGrounds Mobile India (BGMI).'
KRAFTON will continue its expansion strategy for the BattleGrounds intellectual property (IP) in the second half of the year. The new top-down shooter game 'PUBG: Blind Spot' is scheduled for its first public reveal for global users at Gamescom in August, while the extraction shooting genre's 'Project Black Budget' is preparing for a closed alpha test. Collaboration with the French automotive brand 'Bugatti' and the artist 'aespa' is also in progress.
The acquisition of new franchise IPs will also be pursued concurrently. KRAFTON is currently operating a total of 13 new development projects and is expanding its 2nd Party Publishing (2PP) system to strengthen its flexible publishing strategy. Recently, a trial version of EF Games' vehicle-based battle game 'Rivals Hover League' was also released.
The package game 'inZOI' sold over 1 million copies within a week of its release and ranked first in popularity across 27 countries in North America, Europe, and Asia. KRAFTON is pushing for long-term global franchise development.
KRAFTON is also advancing artificial intelligence (AI) technology. The company unveiled its self-developed AI benchmark 'Orak' and announced an open-source language model with 7 billion parameters co-developed with SK Telecom. They aim to apply this to high-difficulty reasoning game fields in the future.
Strategic investments are also being expanded. Starting with the acquisition of Neptune in April, in June, KRAFTON acquired the Japanese advertising agency ADK Group, and in July, it acquired the developer of the action role-playing game 'Last Epoch,' Eleventh Hour Games, continuing to enhance its IP and global influence.
