KT announced that it will help innovate administrative work in Gyeonggi Province through generative AI technology based on a large language model (LLM).
KT said on the 28th that it will embark on the 'Gyeonggi Generative AI Platform Construction' project promoted by Gyeonggi Province. This is the first project to apply generative AI technology to administrative work among metropolitan local governments in the country. It amounts to 13.1 billion won.
KT will apply the Korean language specialized LLM 'Mideum 2.0' to Gyeonggi Province's administrative work for 11 months and provide integrated LLM operating platform 'KT AI Studio' along with services based on administrative specialized AI models. It plans to support practical AI tasks such as document creation, meeting management, and information retrieval in the Gyeonggi Provincial Government's administrative system. Five companies, including KT, MTdata, WISEnut, Konan Technology, and DaiShin Information & Communications, will participate.
KT plans to lead the digital transformation of administrative work at the level of metropolitan local governments through this project. It also noted its intention to contribute to national AI utilization and innovation in the public sector AX (AI transformation) by participating in the government-led AI model development project 'Independent AI Foundation Model Development Project'. It aims to establish a universal service lineup in the four key areas of law, safety, education, and healthcare.
