IGLOO Corporation announced on the 22nd that it has acquired a patented technology to enhance the accuracy and reliability of maritime cybersecurity management based on artificial intelligence (AI) detection policies. Through this, IGLOO Corporation aims to accelerate its expansion into the maritime and cyber-physical systems (CPS) security solutions business.
The patented integrated security management system for vessels registered by IGLOO Corporation is a technology that applies log data from aboard ships to an AI model to automatically detect and respond to security threats. When abnormal signs are detected, it carries out real-time alerts or automated response actions to vessel operators based on the AI model, which has learned security threat patterns such as unauthorized access, abnormal traffic, equipment failures, and temperature anomalies.
Through this, it can efficiently respond to the International Association of Classification Societies' regulations on maritime cybersecurity resilience (IACS UR E26) and the International Maritime Organization's resolution on maritime cyber risk management (IMO MSC.428(98)), enhancing the speed and accuracy of vessel security management.
IGLOO Corporation is focused on expanding supply of its CPS security solution, 'SPiDER OT', which comprehensively protects the operational technology (OT) and information technology (IT) environments across various industries, such as maritime and manufacturing. SPiDER OT aims to secure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of systems, establishing a comprehensive security posture against cyber and physical attacks.
Lee Deok-chun, CEO of IGLOO Corporation, noted, "Due to the acceleration of digital transformation, the importance of CPS security, which encompasses OT and IT, is growing. IGLOO Corporation will lead the CPS security market by presenting optimized security solutions for various industries based on its security operations management capabilities."
