LG Electronics announced on the 22nd that its LG OLED TV ranked first in TV performance evaluations conducted by representative consumer media in 14 countries worldwide.
According to a recent evaluation by the American consumer media Consumer Reports, LG OLED TV received the highest scores in assessments across screen sizes in all institutional sectors—including those over 70 inches, 65 inches, and 55-60 inches—where OLED TVs are available.
In addition to North America and Europe, major consumer media in Australia also regard LG OLED TV as the best product. The British consumer media 'Which?' awarded the 65-inch LG OLED Evo the highest score.
The Italian consumer media 'Altroconsumo' praised the 65-inch LG OLED Evo, stating it boasts "top-level picture and sound quality along with excellent performance, making it an overall sophisticated and perfect product," and awarded it the highest score.
In addition to North America and Europe, the Australian consumer media 'CHOICE' emphasized the 65-inch LG OLED Evo's excellent user interface, outstanding picture quality, and detailed sound, awarding it the highest score.
Consumer media in each country purchase products that are available in the market without support from manufacturers to conduct independent and fair evaluations. In addition, the LG OLED Evo has received top scores from consumer media in France, Germany, Spain, the Netherlands, Sweden, Belgium, Portugal, Czech Republic, Denmark, and Finland.
The 2025 model LG OLED TV is equipped with an OLED display that has received 'Perfect Black' and 'Perfect Color' certifications from the global certification organization UL Solutions for consistently expressing blacks and other colors as originally intended. It has also received the 'Color Volume 100%' certification from Intertek, measuring its ability to express rich colors of original footage without distortion.
Furthermore, it was the first in the industry to obtain the highest 'Perfect' grade in the 'Indoor Lighting Environment Picture Quality Certification' from the global testing and certification organization TUV Rheinland. This demonstrates that it provides a viewing experience that is distinctly different among OLED TVs by ensuring consistent high quality even in bright indoor conditions where customers actually watch TV.
It also provides optimal gaming experiences for gamers who demand ultra-fast response times. It supports both NVIDIA 'G-Sync compatible' and AMD 'FreeSync Premium' and is equipped with a display that has received 'Gaming Performance Certification' from Intertek, able to render fast scenes without interruption at response speeds of under 0.1 milliseconds.
Jae-Chul Jeong, head of LG Electronics' MS Research Institute (executive director), noted that "the results of strict evaluations by consumer media around the world prove that LG OLED TV is the best OLED TV" and added, "We will continue to lead the premium TV market with advanced technology that delivers excellent picture quality in any viewing environment and content."
