Samsung Electronics Service announced on the 20th that it has dispatched a 'disaster recovery special service team' to assist the areas affected by heavy rains in Yesan County and Asan City.
The 'disaster recovery special service team' has set up mobile service centers in Sapgyo-eup (Hapo 1-ri Community Center) in Yesan County and Yeomchi-eup (Agricultural Product Processing Center) in Asan City since the 18th, providing cleaning and free inspection services for flooded home appliances.
A bus equipped with mobile phone inspection equipment has also been dispatched to the disaster recovery site to support the cleaning, drying, and malfunction inspection of flooded mobile phones.
In some areas heavily affected by flooding, such as Yonggang-dong in Buk-gu, Gwangju, and Mareuk-dong in Seo-gu, service engineers are visiting households affected by the disaster to check home appliances and assist with disaster recovery.
Additionally, engineers visit customers reporting flood damage to the Samsung Electronics Service Contact Center (1588-3366) to provide the same disaster recovery special services.
Samsung Electronics Service has dispatched 'special service teams' not only during heavy rains but also in the event of various disasters such as wildfires and typhoons to support affected residents in restoring their daily lives.
In March, a special service team was dispatched to the areas affected by wildfires in Gyeongsangbuk-do to conduct special inspection services for home appliances and mobile phones.
LG Electronics has also established service hubs in areas affected by flooding, such as Asan City and Yesan County, providing free inspection and repair services for home appliances.
Service managers dispatched to the site are inspecting flooded products regardless of product or manufacturer.
In addition, service managers are providing a 'visiting service' that directly visits affected households.
Disaster response vehicles equipped with tools are also being mobilized to quickly support cleaning, repairing, and replacing parts of the products.
Customers who have suffered flood damage to home appliances due to the recent heavy rain can report to the LG Electronics Customer Center (1544-7777) or visit a service center to receive the same services.
LG Electronics plans to expand the service area in the future if the damage spreads.
LG Electronics has also conducted nationwide support activities, providing free inspections and repair services for customers struggling with heavy rains or typhoons every summer.
