Global short-form video platform TikTok announced on the 18th that live creators Lee Yuna, adoo, and Lee Harin will take the stage at the 'Runway to Seoul' event held at the Design Plaza (DDP) showroom in Dongdaemun, Seoul, on the 19th.
'Runway to Seoul' is an exhibition event co-hosted by the Seoul Economic Promotion Agency and Billboard Korea, merging K-Fashion and K-Pop. It showcases K-Culture content that spans various industries such as music, entertainment, tech, and commerce through collaborations between small fashion brands and K-Pop artists. The exhibition will run at the Design Plaza showroom in Dongdaemun, Seoul, until July 20. In particular, the main stage on the 19th will feature music creators who have grown through TikTok Live, expanding their activities from online platforms to offline stages.
The three creators participating in this stage were selected as the top three through the music survival program 'Billboard Korea Rookie in the Dia Karaoke' co-hosted by TikTok and Billboard Korea, and organized by All about LIVE, on the 12th.
The 'Dia Karaoke' they participated in is a representative music campaign of TikTok Live that allows anyone to participate without genre restrictions. It is an open competition platform where rankings are based on gift items during real-time live broadcasts and the number of followers. This season is specially planned in collaboration with Billboard Korea, offering the official music release to the top winner and opportunities for the top three to participate in the 'Runway to Seoul' stage.
Kim Ji-soo, TikTok Korea Live Manager, noted, "This project is a meaningful opportunity to show that live-based real-time music competitions can lead to actual offline stages, demonstrating the expansion of a platform-centered creative ecosystem into reality." He added, "In the future, TikTok will actively support the expansion of live music content and help emerging artists grow in their own ways."
