Smilegate announced on the 18th that the multiplayer roguelike action game 'Neon Abyss 2', developed by Viwo Games, has officially launched globally in early access on Steam (STEAM).
'Neon Abyss 2' showcases an expanded roguelike shooting action compared to its predecessor. Set in a cyberpunk world, it combines explosive run-and-gun combat with infinite item combinations, allowing players to experience new battles every time. The previous title 'Neon Abyss' received 'very positive' reviews on Steam and recorded global sales of over 1 million copies. This much-anticipated sequel introduces a new multiplayer mode that allows up to four players to cooperate, enhancing the fun of team play unlike its predecessor.
The game features over 30 types of weapons and items, including firearms, bats, swords, and magic. Players can freely combine these weapons to complete their unique builds and create original synergies and combos. The randomly generated dungeon structure and strategic boss battles maintain the essence of roguelike shooting action while providing a deeper gameplay experience.
'Neon Abyss 2' has newly added official Korean support, which was not available in the previous title, allowing local gamers to enjoy a more immersive experience. Smilegate is leading local marketing campaigns as a joint publishing partner in Korea and is actively participating in enhancing the quality of Korean localization along with initial launch support through Steam.
'Neon Abyss 2' will conduct a 10% discount promotion on Steam (STEAM) for two weeks to celebrate its early access launch. Additionally, for Korean fans, those who leave anticipation or supportive comments about 'Neon Abyss 2' on 'Inven' and 'Minimap' will have a chance to win prizes such as game keys for 'Neon Abyss 2' through a lottery.
