T Map Mobility announced on the 17th that, based on the analysis of driving data from the 1st to the 14th, demand for outdoor activities and visits to cultural and leisure facilities has increased more than indoor rest, even amid the heatwave.
According to this analysis, golf courses saw a search volume of 225,000, marking an approximate 50.9% increase compared to the previous year. Notably, all of the top 10 golf courses allowing night rounds in the metropolitan area were recognized.
Among cultural facilities, the "National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art" entered the upper ranks for the first time this year, while the "Seoul Arts Center" and the "National Museum of Korea" maintained their rankings for three consecutive years. The increase in demand was attributed to the popularity of exhibition content along with indoor viewing.
Comprehensive stadiums such as Goyang Comprehensive Sports Complex, Gocheok Sky Dome, and Uijeongbu Comprehensive Sports Complex have also emerged as vacation spots for K-pop concerts. In particular, venues hosting performances by "BLACKPINK," "NCT DREAM," and "Psy" ranked highly, along with an increase in visits to baseball stadiums such as Sajik Baseball Stadium and Jamsil Baseball Stadium.
A T Map Mobility official noted, "This year, a distinct trend towards activity and experience-centered summer mobility has emerged," adding that they will further enhance location exploration and recommendation features based on mobility data.
