Naver Series, operated by Naver Webtoon, announced on the 15th that it will exclusively serialize the 7th volume of the popular comic 'The Man from Nowhere, Becoming a Sword Master.'
'The Man from Nowhere, Becoming a Sword Master' portrays the story of a middle-aged swordsman, Beril Gardnant, from a rural dojo, who, recommended by a knight commander disciple, grows to lead an elite knight order. It captures the process of Beril realizing that he was a hidden master who raised renowned swordsmen, entering his prime after once being called 'The Man from Nowhere.'
The original work is a light novel written by Shigeru Sagazaki and Tetsuhiro Nabeshima, which gained popularity after being adapted into manga and aired as an anime last April. Naver Webtoon has reformatted the work into a vertical scrolling format and is currently offering it in Korea, Japan, and North America.
The 7th volume can be purchased at a 10% discount until August 20, while each individual volume can be enjoyed for free every night at 10 p.m. through partitioning.
Jung Young-seok, leader of comic services at Naver Webtoon, said, "I am happy to be able to present the latest volume of 'The Man from Nowhere, Becoming a Sword Master' first in the country," and noted, "We will continue to strive to ensure that Korean readers can quickly access global hits."
