The Hectogroup's recruitment-linked artificial intelligence (AI) competition 'HAI! Hectog AI Challenge' has successfully concluded, the company announced on the 9th.
This competition was organized by Hectogroup, which is pushing for AI integration, to discover and cultivate the next-generation AI talents, with the theme of developing a classification model for used car images. A total of over 1,400 participants took part, and the winner, a student from Korea University, will receive a cash prize of 10 million won and be exempted from document screening and the first interview for Hectogroup recruitment.
The grand prize and excellence award were won by five student teams from major universities, including Seoul National University, Hanyang University, and Yonsei University, and all awardees will be provided with recruitment opportunities.
Meanwhile, Hectogroup also operates the 'Seogyeong SW Academy,' an industry-academia cooperation program for nurturing software talents. Following the completion of the project presentation session in the first half of this year, some participants in the mentoring program won the '2025 Asia Impact Hackathon' international competition.
Hectogroup plans to regularly operate such programs in the first and second halves of the year, continuing to discover AI-converged talents and linking them to recruitment.
A Hectogroup official noted, 'We will continue to expand programs linked to education and recruitment to cultivate talents that will lead the AI era.'
