On July 7, the global short-form video platform TikTok announced that it successfully concluded the 'TikTok for Creator Summit' on the 5th at the aT Center in Seocho-gu, Seoul, with more than 350 creators from both domestic and international backgrounds.
The summit aimed to support sustainable growth for creators in a rapidly changing digital environment and focused on providing practical insights into utilizing various features of TikTok, revenue strategies, and tips for creating specialized content. A total of over 350 attendees, including TikTok's official 'Creator Ambassador,' participants from the 'Creator Academy,' and more than 30 renowned TikTok creators invited from abroad, showed great interest.
The program was designed to include a diverse range of activities, starting with a mental health management session, followed by educational sessions, sharing of content creation know-how by category, mini-concerts, and networking, allowing participants to reflect on their growth journey and acquire the knowledge, skills, and resources needed for future activities.
Chung Jae-hoon, head of content operations at TikTok Korea, noted, 'This event was a meaningful occasion to explore various aspects of the sustainability of creator activities in a rapidly changing environment,' and he added, 'We will continuously expand creator-friendly education and support programs to lead a healthy and sustainable creation ecosystem.'
Following this summit, TikTok plans to support creator growth in a more systematic manner, focusing on key content areas such as TV and movies, education, and sports. Through tailored educational materials for each field, as well as academy programs, webinars, and one-on-one consulting, TikTok aims to provide comprehensive support so creators can achieve long-term and sustainable growth within the TikTok platform.
