SOOP announced on the 4th that it is actively promoting a local commercial district marketing project for small business owners.
This project focuses on revitalizing relatively unnoticed local commercial areas through real-time broadcast content that involves streamers and users, and creating consolidation among regions, users, and streamers through real-time support and communication.
Launched on the 14th of last month, 'National Neighborhood Showcase' starts in Mungyeong, Gyeongsangbuk-do, introducing hidden local commercial areas by having streamers and users experience them together. In Mungyeong, streamers interacted in real-time with users while trying on food and crafts at the market.
'Bread Power Office,' hosted by streamer Banghun, started in collaboration with Dongducheon City, providing practical promotion for stores and fun for users through a competition among streamers and part-time job experiences. On June 30, in Bupyeong, Incheon, streamers served directly and held a menu recommendation vote with users.
On June 28, 'We Came to Scold You' was first revealed in collaboration with Goesan County. Streamers Yangpang and Daeryeongnam visited the Goesan market to experience local specialties and showcased impromptu performances and quiz shows based on user requests.
Lee Se-min, Deputy Minister of SOOP's Social Content Business Division, noted, 'SOOP has been engaged in various social contribution activities and has been considering its consolidation with the community as a content platform,' and added, 'We will continue to expand cooperative strategies in various ways, including pop-up stores and the linkage of local currencies.'
