LG Electronics executives are speeding up efforts to attract global artificial intelligence (AI) talent across the United States.
According to the industry on the 2nd, LG Electronics held an overseas talent recruitment program called the "North America Tech Conference" on the 28th of last month (local time) at the LG Electronics North America headquarters in New Jersey. This comes two weeks after holding an AI talent recruitment event at the "International Conference on Computer Vision and Pattern Recognition (CVPR) 2025" in Tennessee on the 13th.
The tech conference is an event where LG Electronics invites outstanding overseas AI talent to introduce the company's research and development (R&D) vision and technological leadership. This year's event featured key executives under the CTO, including Chief Technology Officer (CTO) Kim Byeong-hun, Chief Human Resources Officer (CHO) Kim Won-beom, Director of the Artificial Intelligence Research Institute Kim Young-jun, Director of the Robotics Research Institute Baek Seung-min, and Head of Software Center Park In-seong.
More than 60 heavyweight talents working as AI experts at global big tech companies such as Meta, IBM, Amazon, and Microsoft (MS), as well as doctoral researchers from prominent universities in North America, also attended.
Jo Ju-wan, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of LG Electronics, noted on his social networking service (SNS) that the North America Tech Conference held last week was a meaningful occasion that reinforced the importance of talent, collaboration, and purpose-driven innovation, and stated, "LG is expanding its connections with global innovators who share the vision of 'innovation for a better life.'"
