KT is preparing infrastructure to cultivate local digital talent in partnership with Keimyung University and Microsoft Korea.
KT announced on the 30th that it has signed a memorandum of understanding for the establishment of the digital education and research platform 'K-MIND Center' at Keimyung University in Daegu.
K-MIND Center is an acronym for 'K-Mobility & Intelligent Healthcare Nexus with Digital Cloud.' It refers to a space where future digital technologies, such as artificial intelligence (AI) and cloud computing, can be learned and experienced directly.
The center is expected to open within the year as an open space available to all young people in the Daegu area, including students from Keimyung University.
KT decided to provide digital capability training linked to the community along with telecommunications infrastructure.
Keimyung University will be responsible for providing the center space and administrative operations, and it will design the curricula to be offered at the K-MIND Center in collaboration with local organizations.
Microsoft Korea will support technical training materials and expert consultation, along with access to Microsoft Azure cloud and AI technology.
