Netmarble will strengthen its intellectual property (IP) by releasing more than six new titles in the second half of this year.
According to Netmarble on the 30th, the company plans to launch six new titles in the second half of the year, including 'King of Fighters AFK,' 'Vampire,' 'Mongo: Star Dive,' 'The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin,' 'Project Soul,' and 'Solo Leveling: Overdrive.'
Although it has not yet announced release dates, it recently revealed 'Stone Age: Pet World' and 'Project Evil Bain' unexpectedly. The domestic release schedule for 'Game of Thrones: King's Road,' which was launched first in North America and Europe, is also expected to be announced within the year.
Netmarble emphasized that a key feature of the new titles is the balanced distribution between internal and external IPs. Netmarble has previously been evaluated as having a high dependency on external IPs, but concerns have decreased as its internally developed IP games 'RF Online Next' and 'Seven Knights Revolution' have succeeded consecutively since their release in the first half of the year.
Among the newly announced titles, 'Mongo: Star Dive,' 'Stone Age: Pet World,' and 'Vampire' are being developed as Netmarble's internal IP games. Additionally, there are already large external IP titles that have successfully launched, such as 'The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin' and 'Solo Leveling: Overdrive,' also in preparation.
The game genres are also diverse. 'Vampire' and 'Project Soul' are categorized as massively multiplayer online role-playing games (MMORPG), while the open-world new role-playing game (RPG) 'The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin' and the action RPG 'Mongo: Star Dive' are classified as titles aimed at grabbing 'subculture fan interest.' 'Project Evil Bain' is a recent cooperative action genre title that has received a great response from PC and console game users.
Having shown strength in mobile games, Netmarble has diversified its game platforms. 'The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin' is set to be the first Netmarble game to launch simultaneously on three platforms: PC, mobile, and console. 'Solo Leveling: Overdrive' is being developed as an action game optimized for PC and console platforms.
A Netmarble official said, 'We aim to broaden our connection with domestic and international game users through genre diversification, a balanced IP portfolio, and a multi-platform strategy.'
