The investigation results of the public-private joint investigation team related to the SK Telecom hacking incident have been postponed to another day, rather than proceeding as scheduled for the National Assembly task force (TF) report on the 30th.
The Ministry of Science and ICT stated on the 30th that "the National Assembly Science, ICT, Broadcasting, and Communications Committee TF report schedule is in a provisional state" and "we plan to discuss the schedule with the National Assembly." Initially, the Ministry of Science and ICT announced it would report the joint investigation team's results to the SK Telecom TF confidentially on this day, but that schedule had not been confirmed with the National Assembly.
Minister Yoo Sang-im attended the National Assembly Science, ICT, Broadcasting, and Communications Committee plenary session on the 27th and said, "We plan to announce the results of the joint investigation team on the 30th, and those results will be delivered to a law firm for further review." Additionally, regarding whether to waive the penalty, he responded, "I will clarify our position around July 4th."
