Amazon Web Services (AWS) opened the first 'AWS Innovation Hub' in the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region on the 27th in Singapore.
The innovation hub spans approximately 750 square meters (㎡) and is designed as a space where corporate leaders from the Asia-Pacific region can experience not only AWS but also the technologies owned by Amazon. Visitors can explore more than 50 solution cases applied to customers and over 30 partner technologies.
The company noted, 'The AWS Innovation Hub was established to accelerate digital and artificial intelligence (AI) innovation in the institutional sector of the Asia-Pacific region,' adding, 'Ultimately, through AWS's unique roadmap solution, Vision Builder, customers can develop a practical roadmap to accelerate their digital transformation.'
Amazon plans to invest $9 billion (approximately 12.21 trillion won) in Singapore by 2028. This involves adding millions of dollars to its existing cloud infrastructure investment plans. AWS stated it intends to engage with more than 1,000 C-level executives annually at the innovation hub. Additionally, it plans to offer training at this location to over 200 students.
Jaime Valdes, AWS Vice President for Asia Pacific and Japan, said, 'Technological innovation is crucial for growth in Asia,' adding, 'The AWS Innovation Hub is a space that combines cloud and AI with Amazon's unique culture of innovation and a partner network of over 140,000 worldwide.'
