Huawei announced on the 27th that it unveiled its innovation strategy focusing on next-generation 5G Advanced (5G-A) technology and AI-based scenario services at 'MWC Shanghai 2025', held from the 18th to the 20th.
This year's exhibition theme was 'Accelerating the Intelligent World'. Huawei presented technological innovation cases centered around three pillars: ▲services ▲infrastructure ▲operations.
In the institutional sector of services, Huawei shared findings on commercialization potential and user experience improvements through successful cases of 5G-A-based experience commercialization and AItoX (AI application-based service implementation) projects conducted jointly with China's three major telecommunications companies.
In the infrastructure area, Huawei shared cases of AI-based network construction and operation, discussing strategies for building AI computing hubs for business success. They also unveiled an 'AI Ultra-Broadband (AI UBB)' integrated solution that encompasses all layers from home internet infrastructure to transmission networks.
In terms of operations, performance computing and intelligent operation cases throughout the wireless network and overall network consolidation process, as well as training and inference application cases of AI-based computing services, were introduced.
Eric Xu, Huawei's vice chairman and rotating chairman, noted in his keynote speech that the telecommunications industry has entered a phase of stable development after about 40 years of rapid growth and is at a turning point for a new leap forward.
He presented four key strategies for the sustainable growth of the telecommunications industry: responding to changing user demands, expanding the supply of high-quality content such as HD video, growth of intelligent connected cars using 5G, and expanding AI application through the introduction of FTTR for small corporations.
