KT announced on the 24th that it will participate in 'Quantum Korea 2025,' held at the aT Center in Seocho District, Seoul, from the 24th to the 26th, showcasing quantum cryptography technology. 'Quantum Korea' is Korea's leading quantum technology event hosted by the Ministry of Science and ICT and others.
Starting from 2023, KT, which is participating in Quantum Korea for three consecutive years, will introduce an overview of quantum cryptography and its applications and future under the theme 'A new era opened by quantum, connected by KT (Quantum–Connected Future by KT).'
KT will showcase technologies such as hybrid quantum cryptography dedicated lines and quantum virtual private networks (VPNs). It will also exhibit various quantum cryptography equipment developed in collaboration with 14 domestic and international partners.
KT will also present examples of quantum cryptography applications in public, defense, industry, finance, and healthcare. Notable examples include ▲ commercial 5G-based Air Force quantum cryptography projects ▲ hybrid quantum cryptography integration verification between Seoul and Busan ▲ Shinhan Bank hybrid quantum security network ▲ National Cancer Center AI medical data quantum encryption.
KT is also expected to announce its proprietary technology capabilities, efforts to expand the domestic quantum cryptography ecosystem, various verification results, and a vision for the future quantum internet era during the conference session.
