SK shieldus announced on the 10th that it has appointed Min Ki-sik, former Chief Executive Officer (President) of Prudential Life Insurance, as the new Chief Executive Officer.
The newly appointed chief executive, Min Ki-sik, is a manager who has been involved in channel restructuring, digital management innovation, and organizational stabilization in the insurance and finance industry for over 30 years, having served as Chief Executive Officer of Prudential Life Insurance and DGB Life Insurance, as well as Vice Chairman of KB Life Insurance. SK shieldus operates in various institutional sectors, including physical security, information security, and converged security, and Min is expected to participate in integrating the complex business structure and improving operational efficiency.
SK shieldus recorded an annual revenue of 2 trillion won last year and is currently promoting intelligent threat response systems, digital transformation, and overseas business expansion across various fields, including B2C home security, B2B industrial security, and B2G public institution security. The necessity for corporations to respond is growing in light of the tightening of security-related regulations and changes in the industry.

Meanwhile, Hong Won-pyo, the former chief executive, resigned upon the expiration of his term. Hong served from August 2023 and was involved in improving the digital security system and artificial intelligence (AI) based service operations.
