KRAFTON's studio, LELLUGAMES, announced on the 9th that it will participate in the global game distribution platform Steam's new product introduction event 'Steam Next Fest' and provide a free demo of the artificial intelligence (AI)-based psychological warfare cooperative horror game 'MIMESIS' from the 10th to the 17th.
MIMESIS is set in a world where some humans have mutated into beings that can replicate others' voices, actions, and memories, and it involves players escaping a danger zone on a tram with their teammates. However, amid the premise that one of the team members may have already been replaced by a 'MIMESIS,' high-stakes psychological warfare unfolds.
In particular, MIMESIS implements human-like natural speech and behavior through reinforcement learning-based artificial intelligence (AI) technology, providing users with a high level of immersion that leads them to doubt the identity of their teammates at every moment.
LELLUGAMES previously conducted a four-day closed beta test from June 4th to 7th, and even before the demo's release, the number of Steam wishlists surpassed 100,000, indicating high interest.
LELLUGAMES noted, "Through this event, we plan to convey the core fun of the game to more users and enhance the game's completeness based on feedback."
