Smilegate Future Lab announced on the 29th that it has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Busan International Children's and Youth Film Festival to promote the development of cultural arts and the diffusion of a creative education convergence model for future generations.
The purpose of this agreement is to support children and teenagers in experiencing creative activities that merge technology and the arts, based on the expertise each side possesses in the fields of cultural arts and education. The signing ceremony took place at the Smilegate office in Pangyo, Gyeonggi Province.
Both sides, taking this cooperation as an opportunity, will set up a special session at the Busan International Children's and Youth Film Festival in July, where they will screen seven videos produced during the 'Youth Video Creation Workshop Utilizing Artificial Intelligence (AI)' that Future Lab operated from January to April. Additionally, a hands-on space for the AHA creative learning mobile application will also be operated at the 'BIKY Playground' in front of the Busan Cinema Center during the festival period.
Baek Min-jeong, director of Smilegate Future Lab, said, "I hope that the creative education model of Future Lab, which supports individuals in discovering their uniqueness through creation, combined with BIKY's expertise in operating film festivals for children around the world, will create an environment where future generations can grow up happily."
