LG Uplus announced on the 28th that it is providing popular original content from 'Crunchyroll' on its internet (IP) TV 'U+tv.'
Crunchyroll is an American over-the-top (OTT) service that primarily offers Japanese animation and East Asian content. By subscribing to Uplay for 15,400 won per month, viewers can watch popular works from Crunchyroll on U+tv and U+mobile tv. There are also approximately 80,000 pieces of content available, including movies, drama, and animation.
The content released through Uplay includes 11 pieces such as the animation 'Zensu,' produced by the studio MAPPA; 'Zenda Red: Become an Adventurer in Another World,' which is based on a manga that has been officially published in Korea; and 'Yuru Camp Season 1,' which recorded a worldwide box office of $8.34 million. LG Uplus plans to release more popular content in the future.
To strengthen Uplay's competitiveness over the past year, LG Uplus has exclusively provided popular content from global platform 'Prime Video,' Amazon original content, Japanese pay-TV service 'WOWOW,' Swedish content platform 'Viaplay,' and Chinese OTT 'Bilibili' on U+tv.
