Lee Hae-jin, chairman of Naver's board, met with Jensen Huang, chief executive officer (CEO) of the American semiconductor corporation Nvidia, in Taiwan on the 22nd. CEO Huang visited Taiwan to attend Computex 2025, the largest IT exhibition in Asia, recently held in Taipei.
According to Naver Cloud and others on the 23rd, Chairman Lee discussed collaboration on artificial intelligence (AI) related business with Choi Soo-yeon, representative director, and Kim Yu-won, representative director of Naver Cloud, in Taipei, Taiwan. This trip marks Chairman Lee's first overseas business trip since returning to the board chair position in March.
Major executives from Naver and Nvidia reportedly held a separate meeting at Nvidia's office in Taiwan to discuss plans for building sovereign AI and expanding large-scale AI data center operations.
Earlier, Chairman Lee and CEO Huang met at Nvidia's headquarters in the United States in June of last year to discuss AI-related collaboration.
