According to the information and communications technology (IT) industry on the 16th, the number of subscribers who moved from SK Telecom to KT and LG Uplus the previous day was counted at 7,878.
Since the hacking incident was reported on the 22nd of last month, the number of subscribers who moved from SK Telecom to other carriers reached 34,132 for the first time on the 28th of last month when the free SIM card replacement service began.
The figure peaked at 38,716 on the 1st, followed by a decreasing trend with 22,404 on the 3rd and 14,393 on the 5th.
Since the hacking incident, the number of subscribers who moved from SK Telecom to other carriers totaled 345,646 from the 22nd of last month to the previous day, and the net decrease considering new subscriptions was counted at 302,918.
