Semes announced on the 13th that it will participate in the '2025 Chungnam Tri Nexus Open Innovation' hosted by South Chungcheong Province and organized by the Chungnam Creative Economy Innovation Center to support the discovery of promising startups.
The Chungnam Tri Nexus Open Innovation is a project that matches the infrastructure of 16 large and medium-sized domestic companies with the innovative technologies developed by startups to support technology verification and commercialization funding.
Semes has previously supported startups in the fields of robotics and measurement through the first Open Innovation competition held last year.
This year, Semes will collaborate with selected startups to conduct technology verification, and the Chungnam Creative Economy Innovation Center plans to provide commercialization funds needed for research and development, prototype production, and intellectual property applications and registrations.
The technology recruitment areas that Semes is soliciting include semiconductor/display-related charging materials, chillers/heaters, pumps/filters, automation solutions, and measuring instruments.
Choi Gil-hyun, CTO of Semes, noted, 'We are currently reviewing technology verification and collaboration plans with promising domestic companies in the fields of measurement solutions, robotic control technology, and predictive maintenance using AI,' and added, 'We will take the lead in win-win cooperation for mutual growth through technology development, production management, and quality system transfer with the finally selected startups.'
Meanwhile, Semes supports the operation of a win-win fund, facility training and ESG consulting, talent recruitment, and awards for outstanding partners to ensure sustainable growth with its partners.
