Devsisters' development studio Press A announced on the 12th that its upcoming game, 'Cookie Run: Oven Smash,' has successfully completed its global mobile closed beta test (CBT).
'Cookie Run: Oven Smash' is a real-time battle action game that combines casual action play based on the Cookie Run intellectual property (IP) with the excitement of player-versus-player (PvP) battles. It made its debut during the CBT from the 24th to the 30th of last month, verifying its core gameplay and system stability.
About 100,000 users ultimately participated in this CBT, with international participants accounting for 76%. By region, both Korea and the United States recorded the highest participation rates, confirming the global interest in 'Cookie Run: Oven Smash.'
The total time participants spent immersed in the game during combat play was analyzed to be over 30,000 hours. Furthermore, more than 90% of participants expressed a willingness to play after the official launch, rating overall satisfaction with the game at 3.3 out of 4 points, showing high expectations for the new release.
Users expressed the greatest satisfaction with the attractive cookies brought to life through 3D modeling and the skill actions reflecting each cookie's unique personality. Following that, there was also positive feedback regarding the casual combat that can be enjoyed without pressure and real-time team play. Among the modes, participation and preference for 'Castle Break' were the highest, and reactions to spell cards were notable.
Devsisters is committed to enhancing the quality of 'Cookie Run: Oven Smash' based on the CBT data and participant survey results. Plans are in place to expand the content further based on validated gameplay, recalibrate character and spell card balance, improve system stability, and optimize the matching and combat environment, aiming for a global launch in the second half of the year, including in Korea, and intensifying service preparations.
