Epic Games announced that it will offer a benefit of returning 20% of purchases made using the Epic payment system in its games, including Fortnite, Rocket League, and Fall Guys, starting on the 12th.
This rewards policy applies to all platforms worldwide where the Epic payment system is implemented, including PC, iOS, Android, and web. Users can use the rewards they receive for payments in other games or the Epic Games Store, including Fortnite. The rewards will not be limited to a specific period but will be maintained continuously.
Additionally, Epic Games will temporarily increase the reward rate for all purchases made at the Epic Games Store to 20%, up from the previous rate of 5%, until Aug. 31 (Eastern Time). As a result, purchases of third-party games distributed in the Epic Games Store will also be included as eligible for rewards.
Meanwhile, with Fortnite's return to the U.S. App Store, users can choose between the Epic payment system, which offers a 20% Epic reward, and Apple's in-app payment for transactions.
