AhnLab announced on the 30th that it has successfully completed a third-party verification of greenhouse gas emissions and has received a verification opinion letter from the Korea Management Certification Institute (KMR).
Third-party verification of greenhouse gases is a procedure to review and guarantee the greenhouse gas emissions generated by companies and business sites during a specific period according to international standards. It is a key means to ensure the accuracy, reliability, and transparency of the emission data disclosed by corporations.
This verification was conducted on the greenhouse gas emission sources (direct emissions Scope 1 and indirect emissions Scope 2) of AhnLab's headquarters and four domestic subsidiaries (Jason, Nowon Works, AhnLab Blockchain Company, AhnLab Cloud Mate) for the recent three years from 2022 to 2024.
Kim Gi-in, vice president of AhnLab, noted, "Although we are not subject to legal obligations such as the greenhouse gas emissions trading system or the target management system, we voluntarily conducted third-party verification to fulfill our environmental and social responsibilities." He added, "As we have recognized the accuracy and reliability of the greenhouse gas inventory that calculates and records the company's greenhouse gas emission status, we will continue to systematically manage emission data to improve environmental management outcomes."
