LG Electronics is officially launching the 2025 LG QNED (NANO-based high color reproduction display) TV, expanding its leadership in the premium TV market.
LG Electronics noted on the 28th that it will sequentially launch new 2025 QNED TV products globally, starting with the premium market in Korea and North America next month. This includes the 100-inch QNED Evo (model name: QNED89A) and the wireless QNED Evo (model name: QNED9MA).
This year's LG QNED TV new products feature a full lineup ranging from small to large sizes (43, 50, 55, 65, 75, 86, 100 inches) and include wireless products. The domestic shipping price for the 100-inch QNED Evo is 8.9 million won, while the shipping prices for the wireless QNED Evo are 6.39 million won for the 86-inch model and 4.99 million won for the 75-inch model.
The 2025 LG QNED TV has enhanced the application of evolved NANO particle-based high color reproduction technology, increasing the color reproduction rate. It is characterized by expressing images on the screen in realistic primary colors, as seen by the human eye. LG Electronics announced that it has received a color volume 100% certification from the global testing and certification agency Intertek, measuring how well it expresses rich colors of the original video without distortion.
LG Electronics has expanded the true wireless AV transmission solution it first showcased in the industry in 2023 to the QNED Evo. This solution wirelessly transmits up to 4K 144Hz video without loss or delay. It has received AMD's 'FreeSync Premium' certification, minimizing screen tearing and delivering natural visuals even in wireless environments. This method connects peripheral devices such as console devices and set-top boxes, which were previously connected to the TV main unit, to a separate 'Zero Connect Box.'
The new products utilize five artificial intelligence (AI) functions through dedicated buttons on the Magic Remote, based on user patterns: ▲ AI concierge suggesting personalized keywords ▲ AI search understanding user utterances and inferring intent based on large language models (LLM) ▲ AI chatbot assisting with simple problem-solving while using the TV ▲ AI personalized picture and sound modes providing the most suitable picture and sound quality ▲ Voice ID distinguishing users by voice to switch accounts and provide customized services.
The 2025 LG QNED Evo is equipped with the improved independent AI picture and sound engine Alpha 8 processor, implementing picture and sound quality suitable for large TVs based on about 70% better AI performance compared to previous versions.
Park Hyung-se, president of LG Electronics' MS Business Division, said, 'We will expand our leadership in the global premium TV market with a dual-track strategy of OLED TVs featuring overwhelming self-emissive quality and premium LCD TVs, such as QNED TVs, that apply advanced technologies.'
