On the 24th, LG Display stated during a conference call for its first-quarter 2025 earnings announcement regarding the U.S. tariff policy, "The current general trend is certainly to impose tariffs, and the company understands this," adding, "However, it can be seen that LG Display's products are rarely directly exported to the U.S."
It noted, "The ones facing the tariff issue are the set manufacturers, and LG Display is closely monitoring how the production strategies of these manufacturers are changing." It added, "As of now, there are no set manufacturers that are understood to be revising their production strategies," stating, "Due to high volatility, we will continue to monitor the situation to ensure that we do not miss business opportunities or experience a decline in revenue."
